About Us
TeamSmile is the nation's premier advocacy group that partners oral health professionals with professional athletic organizations to provide life-changing dental care to underserved children in our communities. By partnering with professional sports organizations, we create an experience that develops bonds between children’s organizations, oral health professionals, surrounding communities, and the athletes that solidify the message that oral health care is vitally important to long-term health. Through this experience, children receive free oral health education, screening, treatment, and are taught that the mouth and body are linked for overall health.

Clinical Standards:
No compromise. Our volunteer dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, and educators provide the highest level of care. We use industry-leading materials and equipment because all of our patients deserve the best in oral health care.
Community Passion:
We immerse ourselves, along with our pro-athletic partners, into the community. Linkage between the athletes, the oral care providers, and the community in need provides the inspiration, treatment, and tools to make a difference in the total health and education of thousands of the communities’ most underserved children.
Continuity of Care:
Our experiences are more than just one day. The goal of each program is to establish a dental home for each child treated helping to ensure improved oral health and wellness.

We create partnerships between pro-athletes and volunteer clinicians based on our vision and mission placing the needs of underserved children first.
"TeamSmile has been a part of the success at Gene Ward Elementary School. 90% of our students fall under the poverty line, 65% speak English as their second language, and most do not have access to medical/dental care; our challenges are many. TeamSmile has helped with these challenges which in turn has helped us change our kids’ lives. If you have ever experienced a toothache, you know how difficult it is to think about anything other than your teeth. Providing dental care means that our students can focus on learning and achieve. At a TeamSmile program in Orlando, a father without dental insurance walked more than one mile with his four children so his daughter could be seen. She had been complaining for months that her tooth hurt, but he had no means to help her. Not only did TeamSmile help his child, but also treated his other three children, two of which had cavities. The gratitude of this father could be felt when he expressed with tears in his eyes, "Thanks for helping my children when I couldn’t. Organizations like this give me hope.”
